Clutch Motors for Industrial Sewing Machines
Sewing Machines Australia (SMA) stocks all of the main clutch motors here in Australia. There are two types of clutch motors; high speed and low speed.
The high-speed industrial sewing machine clutch motor is normally 1/2 or 3/4 horsepower 2850 rpm and is used on machines that require high-speed production such as clothing straight sewers and overlockers.
The low-speed industrial sewing machine clutch motor is normally 1/2 or 3/4 horsepower 1425 rpm and is used on machines that require a lower speed or are trying to sew heavier work like walking foot and compound feed machines.
